General HP/Shipper Musings

I just love how Cho in confronting Harry says the famous "Darling Hermione" and Harry never bothers to refute it. Hee hee. Love my new icon. Yeah, talk about sexual tension, yum yum.

So started rereading the books even though I am also only 1/4th of way through my rereading of OOTP uk edition. In the midst of book one current ponderings have been provoked by a couple of fics I've been reading (No thanks! by oldcrow fanfiction.net in particular  ) and one thing that comes to mind is Dumbledore's manipulativeness. At the time of Harry's placement with the Dursley's there has been no proof of Sirius's betrayal. It isn't till about 1-2 days after the Potter's deaths that Peter and Sirius confont each other. Granted DD thought Sirius was the Potter's secret keeper and likely the only one suspect but still he, as far as we know, didn't protest Sirius being thrown into Azkaban without any sort of trial and he doesn't seem worried about Hagrid obtaining the motorbike from the suspected evil betrayer. That just struck me as odd; DD's lack of reaction concerning Hagrid and Sirius's meeting. This also seems to be very intresting in regard to how quickly he believed the trio in book 3 about Sirius's innocence. I'm very much beginning to believe that DD had definite doubts about Sirius's guilt since the day of the murders. For all that he speaks of the necessity of blood protection the sealing of a legal contract such as guardianship due to godparenthood would I imagine also have magical protections/bonds that would be just as strong if not more so due to the actual love between Sirius and Harry. Sending Harry to the Durselys just because Petunia is Lily's blood kin seems abit off because DD hints so stongly that love is a powerful force; more than nature itself and wouldnot love in this instance be stronger than the blood tie mixed with hate and anger? On a couple of groups/journals, etc alot of people have come up with alot of not so benevolent theories concerning DD overall treatment of Harry and his extensive manipulation of events and people despite supposedly being for thier own good. So yeah I'm really not liking the Headmaster right now.
