Oh, the football was nice. I watched at home because I was sure we'd lose and didn't want to be in a mass-depressed group, but now I kind of wish I'd gone. Still, it was lovely.
And the betting game is already over, because all but one of the teams picked by the participants are out now. I don't blame the three who picked Argentina, because I'd made them out to be favourites too. But: They didn't expect the lovely young German team... on average, they're three years younger than me, they're practically children, but they're good (and some of them are cute, too!).

Seeing as I have a weird assortment of tokens, gift certificates and Paid time certificates: What would you like? Some Paid time, or perhaps extra userpics, or some combination thereof? There are actually fireworks outside, and people crying "Deutschland". Seems to me that we need these tournaments every four years (or two, if you count the European championships) to get rid of any quasi-patriotic feelings that we could never show otherwise.
