Oh dear, James. I think Lily will forgive you this once.
Casting an Obliviate on yourself while drunk seems like a terrible idea so I'm glad he decided against it.

So this is what the sneak was for :) And yeah, I have to admit, that seems like a terrible way to die. But sometimes it's you or them and that means it has to be them.

See? Lily knows when to make exceptions.
I think it says something that even drunk and in a state James can reassure Lily that everyone is fine.
I like the line about her being able to tell how he's feeling just from his posture. It's one of those little things that makes a really good touch.
James I wouldn't exactly call you someone who could kill freely if you're freaking out this bad about it. That Death Eater? He would not have been freaking out. The fact that you are is what makes you different.
Lily, you are a wonderful logical person. And exactly what James needs.
Sex will not make this go away James. Aaaand I see the dam has finally broken.
This is definitely one of those things that you have to learn to love with and you should have to learn to live with, not just all of a sudden be okay.
