EMO

"Emo is the music you carry with you---it's why your parents cry at The Big Chill , why your older sister tears up at Say Anything or Singles . Except in emo's case, we're talking about soundtracks to real life, not a movie.
As long as there are feelings, teenagers will claim that they had them first. And as long as there are teenagers, music will get labeled emo.

- Nothing Feels Good: Punk Rock, Teenagers, And Emo.

I honestly believe this man.
I feel that if I can listen to the horrific sounds of "Hit the Lights" or "Say Anything" and still cry from frustration, knowing that there artists or these people definitely have had the same problems, the same issues, that I have now, then emo is by definition "a much-maligned, mocked, and misunderstood term for melodic, expressivem and confessional punk rock.

It all makes sense really. We're all lost in our own worlds, so we think. But suddenly we're exposed to those who are locked in theirs.

It like setting to glass boxes side by side and allowing those in each box to view the life of the person of the other.

If we all lived in glass boxes so to speak.
