"I don't care." I tapped my fingernails on my desk as I rolled my eyes. These idiots down in the mystical department didn't know what the hell they were doing these days. You end up dead for ten years and suddenly everything falls apart, figures doesn't it?
"We have access to the most powerful Shamans in this and every other dimension. Don't tell me that barrier can't be broken down. That little witch can't be that powerful." Talking to these people was starting to grate on my very last nerve. Didn't they know who they were dealing with?
"We're still working on it, Ms. Morgan." The head of the department said, his voice floating over my cellular phone.
"Work on it faster, or I'll have your family killed." With that I closed the phone and turned towards the window. Things around Wolfram and Hart had been a little quiet, since our beloved CEO went off the deep end. Surprisingly enough that little twit of a secretary has been taking all of his messages and holding all of his calls.
The senior partners were very pleased with the progress I was making. The only thing standing between me and promotion was that little brat, Wesley's child. It was only a matter of time until I delivered the baby to the senior partners personally. Then I could reap the rewards that I had worked so hard for all these years.
