Sixteen Years Ago Today

Sixteen Years Ago Today, I, having experienced the first insomniac night of my life, spent the entire day at David and Jocelyn Goff's home while my mother gave birth to my baby sister at Baton Rouge Women's Hospital.

When I saw my sister for the first time that day, she seemed so small and non-interactive.

Then she started to cry, and became loud, small, and non-interactive in the sense that no matter what we did, she didn't stop crying.

And she'd go back to sleeping, and become just small and non-interactive again.

Today, she is a little bigger, and has gotten more interactive, in that she can kick my ass now.

Happy Birthday Little Sis!

p.s. sorry about dropping you off our parents' bed. I didn't know that you had figured out how to turn yourself.
