Disclaimer: I do not own anything. Not Grey’s Anatomy, or anything else I may use that’s not mine. This is purely for fun, so no. I’m not getting any profit for this.
A/N: So this is a prequel for a Fanfic I’m about to write. The prequel will be either one or two chapters long… no longer than a one-shot. And it takes place 15 years before the story. Hope you enjoy the FanFic. :]
Arizona groaned as she heard her alarm clock go off. She didn’t want to go to Florida for the summer, she wanted to stay in New York as it was her last summer in NY before she was heading off for medical school. She was normally up for anything, with a smile on her face. But this one time she wanted to do things for herself.

Arizona squeezed her eyes shut and squeezed down on her pillow when she heard a knock on her door. “Zona, it’s time to get up. We can’t miss our flight.” Arizona sighed into her pillow and pretended that she didn’t hear her father. She grumbled to herself and pouted. She didn’t want to go to stupid Florida.

After a few minutes, there was no sound. Arizona had thought that they had finally given up and left without her. She listened closely to be sure that it was quiet when her door opened. “Arizona…” she heard her brother say. She pretended to be sleep. “Wake up Arizona… I know you’re up… Do you want to do this the easy way or the hard way?”

There was no answer from Arizona. Her brother sighed and shook his head. “You brought this on yourself Ari.” As he said that, he took the cup of water in his hand and poured it over his sister. “DANNY! WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR!?” Arizona screamed as she shot up, pouting more than she was before.

Daniel looked at her and shrugged. “I told you to wake up, I know you heard me. You wouldn’t get up. Now you’re up. Get dressed, make sure you have all of your bags and LETS GO NOW” Arizona crossed her arms and looked at her twin with puppy-dog eyes. He just laughed and shook his head. “Not going to work on me, I’m immune. I can’t do the puppy dog pout just as well as you can”

Arizona grumbled and muttered a few choice curse words as she got off her bed reluctantly and made her way to her closet. “I’m up, happy? Now get out.” Her brother snickered and walked out her room. Arizona wasn’t normally this grumpy towards her brother, but the trip to Florida took the ‘YAY’ out of Arizona.

About half an hour later, Arizona was finally packed and ready to go. She put on a deep blue shirt that made her eyes pop, and khaki shorts. She decided to leave her hair curly, seeing as Florida’s weather would probably just ruin her hair if she straightened it anyways.

Arizona made her way out of her room, pulling her suitcase along with her. As she stalked out the room, she saw that her brother was standing outside waiting with a smirk on his face. “You are dead to me right now.”
She said, sending him a death glare. This made him laugh and wrap an arm around her.

“Zony bear, you know you love me. You can’t ever stay mad at me.” Arizona rolled her eyes at the mention of her childhood nickname. She pushed her brother playfully and smiled at him, dimples showing. “Yeah, but it’s only because you look like me.” Her brother looked at her and shook his head. “There’s the Arizona that I know.”

Arizona giggled as she walked towards the car. She looked at her dad and pouted again. “Dad, do I really have to go?” Colonel Daniel Robbins looked at her daughter and raised an eyebrow. “Are you really that against going?” Arizona nodded her head furiously, as if she was a 5 year old. A smile played on her dad’s lip. “Then yes, you do have to go.”

Arizona looked towards her day and scrunched up her nose and eyebrows. “Not funny dad. Really not funny.” She crossed her arms and walked into the car, looking out the window as her dad pulled away. Her brother sighed when he saw the look on her face. “Don’t worry Zona, it’ll be fun… I know you don’t want to go, but it’s sort of the last time you’ll be with the family for the summer. Enjoy it for ma and dad please?”

Arizona sighed and uncrossed her arms. Of course her brother would know what to say to make her try not to hate it as much. Arizona looked at her brother and put on a small smile. “I guess I can try to have fun…” Arizona
said even though she felt as if she wasn’t going to have fun.
Callie rolled over and hit the snooze button on her alarm clock. She looked up and read the time. 11:30.”Argggg” Callie screamed into her pillow. She didn’t want to get up, she wanted to stay in her comfy bed, with her comfy pillow and fall back to sleep.

Callie slowly started to drift off to sleep once again, until she felt a body jump on her. “Calliope Iphigenia Torres, wake up” Callie groaned as she felt her little sister on top of her. “Ariaaaaaaa, 5 more minutes.” She said as she covered her head with the blanket.

This caused Aria to pout and sit on the side of Callie. She crossed her arms and looked at Callie. “But Callie… you promised me” Aria started, as she looked at her sister with her best sad face she could pull off. Callie looked at her sister and glared at her, throwing a pillow at her causing her to fall.

“It’s not nice to guilt people into doing things Aria… I just wanted 5 minutes of sleep.” Aria shook her head and pointed to her clock. “You got your 5 minutes, its 11:35 now. So pleasepleaseplease wake up. I don’t want to be late. And I know you, you will take at least a hour to get ready, so please.”

Callie shot her sister a look and then sighed in defeat, rolling over. “Fine, fine… I’m up. Happy.” She said as she started to get up from her bed. “You can go now, I do have to get ready…” Callie said as she rushed her sister out of her room.

Aria grinned in satisfaction because she finally got her sister up. “Fine, I’m leaving. But I’ll be checking on you in 30 minutes.” She said as she walked out the door. Callie looked at her and pouted. “HEY! I thought you said an hour!” She heard her sister snicker in the hallway and Callie sighed. She didn’t know why she agreed to do this.

About forty-five minutes later, Callie came out of her room sporting a red shirt, with black pants and black flats. She walked into the living room, where her sister sat engrossed into the show that she was watching. “Aria, you just woke me up. Let’s go.” Aria looked at Callie with wide-eyes. “But it’s almost over”

Callie shook her head, she wasn’t bending. “Nope, I couldn’t get my 5 minutes of sleep, you can’t watch the end of the show. That’s how it works.” Aria pouted and turned off the TV as her and Callie were about to leave the house.

As they opened the door, they came face-to-face with their father. “Hola papá" Callie said with a smile on her face. She had always been a daddy’s girl. “Hi Daddy” Aria said. Carlos looked at his girls with a smile on his face. “Hola hijas, where are you girls off to?” he asked.

Aria smiled big “It’s a secret… We’ll be back in a few days. Love you!” Aria said as she dragged her big sister out the house, barely able to contain herself. Aria was pretty giddy. To a lot of people wouldn’t be so happy or excited about this but she wasn’t most people. She had been looking forward to this day for a long time, before Callie even promised to take her.

Callie looked at her sister with a smile on her face. She couldn’t believe how big of a deal this was. She rarely saw her sister this excited over anything so for her to be this excited over this, it made her smile. “I guess you enjoy the simple things in life” Callie stated, as she got into her car.

Aria bounced up and down in her seat like she was 10 and was about to go to the candy shop. She looked at her sister and her smile grew bigger. “I’ve been waiting for this for a long time sort of a final goodbye for us sisters. Just the two of us.”

Callie smiled at her sister as she heard her sister. She didn’t know that it meant to much to her. “You know, I’m just going to college. I’ll be back for breaks. Promise” Aria smiled at her sister slightly and looked out the window. “I know, it’s just… it’s going to be weird without having you around all the time… I’ll miss you…” Aria said. “And your clothes” she added, to lighten the mood a little more.
Arizona had to admit, she hadn’t expected to have this much fun. She was with her brother for most of the trip, and now her and her family were about to go on a cruise. “I’ve always wanted to go on a cruise!” Arizona said jumping up and down clapping her hands. Daniel looked at Arizona and raised an eyebrow. “I think I’m starting to miss the girl who didn’t want to come to Florida.”

Arizona hit her brother but smiled bigger. “Not even that will kill my mood. I love boats… Cruises are just a plus” she giggled as the car came to the stop and she ran out and ran towards the boat as her eyes grew bigger. “It’s HUGE! It’s the biggest boat I’ve ever seen.” She said, standing there her eyes sparkling at the site of the boat in front of her.

Daniel grinned and walked over to his sister with their bags in his hands. “C’mon Ari, we gotta get on the boat before it leaves” Arizona looked towards her brother and her grin grew. “Danny! LET’S GO!” Arizona started grabbing Daniel’s arm and dragged him towards the boat. As they walked in, they saw another two people acting like how they would act.

Aria grabbed onto Callie’s arm as she pulled her onto the boat. Callie had their bags in her hands because obviously Aria was too excited to carry her own stuff. “Calm down Aria! I’m coming, your bags aren’t light you know” She said, pretending to be irritated but she couldn’t really keep the act up. Callie grinned big as she allowed her little sister to pull her onto the boat.

Before she got pulled all the way into the boat, she looked to the side to see two blonde people staring at her and her sister. She smiled awkwardly at them and waved, the girl blushed and looked away, whereas the boy smiled and waved back. Callie shook her head and grinned. ‘Sisters’ she thought to herself.

When they finally got settled in there room on the cruise, Aria lay back on the bed and smiled to herself. Callie had finished putting up her clothes and walked towards her sister raising an eyebrow. “Please don’t tell me you made me promise to take you on a cruise just for you to lay on the bed” Callie teased.

Aria shot up on her bed, her eyes wide looking at Callie. “I was kidding A… Kidding” Aria sighed in relief and then looked at Callie and her smile grew again. “Good, because I thought you regretted bringing me here for a while.” Callie shook her head and laughed slightly. “Nope, no regret here. Now how about we go out and have some fun.” Callie said as she pushed her sister playfully.

Arizona looked at her brother who had been staring at her for the past 5 minutes. She waved a hand in front her brother’s face. “Daniel Robbins the second, why are you staring at me like that.” Daniel snapped out of his daze when he heard his sister use his full name. “Hey, it’s Daniel or Danny to you. Secondly, I was not staring. Just thinking”

Arizona raised an eyebrow and nodded.“Yeah, uh-huh. Whatever, how about we get out of this room and go have some fun before we get to the Bahamas” she said with a smile on her face. Daniel just shook his head and grinned. He was going to miss this, hanging out with his sister. He was going to the army and she would be going off to med school.

Daniel put an arm around his sister’s neck and they walked out of the room. As they walked out of the room, they passed by the two Latina sisters they had seen earlier. Arizona looked at the older one and smiled slightly, as she turned away and walked off with her brother.
They had finally gotten to the Bahamas, it had been part of the 3-day cruise. They would stop at the Bahamas to refuel the boat and to see a few of the sights. Then before they got back on the boat, they would have a bonfire at the beach and would tell some scary stories, and get better acquainted with some of the people from the cruise.

As the day came close to the end, everyone had started making their way towards the beach where there would be a bonfire. Aria sighed in content and looked at her big sister. “Thanks so much, y’know for not breaking your promise and all.” Callie looked at her sister and smiled her biggest smile. “You don’t break pinky promises.”

Callie and Aria sat down on the beach, looking at the fire waiting for everything to start and everyone to get there. They were making small talk with each other, but really taking in the beauty of the island. Callie was in the middle of telling a story when two people sat beside her. “Hey,” she heard the guy speak.

Callie looked to the side of her and saw two familiar faces. She grinned slightly. “Hey” Arizona looked up when she saw someone speak, and her eyes immediately found dark brown eyes. Arizona blushed a little, thankful that the only light was the one from the fire. Callie looked at Arizona and smiled slightly. She reached out her hand, “Callie Torres” she said.

Arizona looked at her and took her hand, smiling at her showing both of her dimples. “Arizona Robbins” she replied. Arizona looked at her brother who looked at her with a raised eyebrow. ‘What?’ Arizona mouthed. Daniel put up two hands and shrugged. Arizona turned her attention back to Callie. Definitely glad we came to Florida. Arizona thought to herself as she started talking to Callie and her sister Aria.
A/N 2: So I really wasn’t sure how to end this part. It’s only the first part of the prequel. I wanted to show how they both ended up on the same cruise and all. Next part plenty of calzona, then we have the actual story I’ll start posting. Please read and review. Even a smiley face is appreciated. Thanks!
