Soooo...
syndicated decided that Mr & Mrs
qb_fox,
twig_wonderkid and
mr_williams_law should no longer be denied the many joys of Tropeiro, so we all met up before the Bank Holiday weekend and had yet another meat extravaganza. This time, I didn't get quite as carried away with the salad bar, so was able to get through all the meat, and even have seconds. Hurrah!
On the Bank Holiday w/end, after my boiler had been inspected (that is not a euphemism), we headed over the
Ellesmere Port Boat Museum where
Plantagenet Events were doing all things Piratey. There was a fascinating (and very loud) display of firearms; lots of skirmishes; and the singular most marvellous wig I ever did see.
The rest of the museum was good too - we did much poking about and playing with the interactive doodads whilst small children looked on in envy. Ha!
Mr W and I also went to our favourite Thai restaurant in honour of our 3rd anniversary. 3 years! With no screaming or arguing or death! Most irregular.
We spent the rest of the w/end (apart from a couple of brill trips to the tip) watching DVDs in our pants and eating crisps. Hurrah!
Last night, I went out for nosh with Unusual Guru Wilbur to meet The Boy Read's new bird. Italian, she is, but not even vaguely mental or highly strung. A triumph!
And on the book front, because it has been my birthday and I have received the most wonderful geefts, I have been mostly reading:
Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book, M is for Magic, Coraline, The Wolves in the Walls and The Day I Swapped my Dad for two Goldfish courtesy of
syndicated ; and Chuck Palahniuk's Non Fiction, Haruki Murakami's Norwegian Wood and Will Self's The Butt courtesy of Mr W's Grandma.
