Hmm

Ok for food my recommendations:

Taco Shack on 299 (across from blockbuster next to K&E Beverage) cheap and delicious and if you are looking to pick up alcohol you can save some time

Lemongrass also on 299 but more in town next to Toscani and sons Great Thai food mid range prices depending on what you get

Main Street Bistro on 299 right in town next to the groovy blueberry Go here for breakfast! and be sure to check the specials board. Everything they make is amazing (local grown organic etc) and fairly priced.

For Bars.
I don't particularly do the bar scene in any big way but the highlights for me are as follows:

80's night at Cabaloosa's ( its thursday nights so i don't know how early your weekend is starting) its awesome.

Oasis Cafe located right off the municipal parking lot in town. Its an old rock climbing gym turned into a bar. there is pool, pac man and usually live music that is good. It also has a sake bar inside which is where I usually go (hello kitties, tsunamis and love potion #9 mixed drinks are girly but delicious)

the guilded otter
a brewery. on 299 at the edge of town. tasty food and many beers great view of the mountains.

there is of course all the little shops you can peruse during the day.

I personally love to go hiking in the mountains but I am not 100 % sure how available that option is since it is winter time. Minnewaska might be open, but it might not. There is also the Mohonk Mountain house which is kinda pricey but has beautiful grounds and it think you can go xcountry skiing and ice skating.

the college has a planetarium and an art gallery too but i have never been to either but bot are supposedly pretty good. if you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask!

and if all else fails hit up the wineries.

hope that helps! its kinda hard to think of stuff to do in the winter I'm so used to running outside to play.

Ooh I was in town today and thought of a few more things!

if you like sushi go to Hokkado NOT NEKO its on a side street that is b/w the bistro and liqwid.

Barnaby's American Bistro and amazingness

Indoor rock climbing at the Inner wall - its in the blockbuster plaza but you have to go around the back. For like $20 they will rent you equip and give you a lesson then you and your girlie can play around climbing up walls for as long as you like (it does get tiring ) And since it is winter there will probably be a lot of people around and its a cool thing to try and the people there are rad
