Completion
So, I had been saving the last scene for after the editing process. I knew it was going to be dramatic and make me cry (it did) and that's always fun as a writer. Not very fun for the characters, but tis their lot in life. Yesterday I wrote it. It was a lot shorter than I expected, only 5k. That's pretty teeny considering how much destruction I cause in that small bit. Broken hearts and stuffs. Yay!
I got in touch with a gal from my Seattle SPN group who thinks, hopes, she may have time to beta it for me before the due date. I sent her chapters 1-8 yesterday. I'll be sending over 9 this morning. I do need to add a scene or two to chapter 8. 8 is by far the longest chapter, making up about a quarter of the whole fic.
At present, it lies at 78,940.
In non-fanfic news, I'm settled in quite nicely to the new place. I still need a lot of furniture but I finally got a desk! Woot. Much easier to type at a desk than a coffee table. :P Ichi has been very unhappy. He's been peeing outside the litter box again and, strangely, the shower. At least that one is easy to clean up, but it's still pretty off-putting.
