Title: In Heaven, Art Thou?
Synopsis: Spin-off (prequel) of Supernatural. Will centre around the angels and archangels, and how their family dynamic worked before the events in the show. It will begin a few decades before Sam Winchester's birth, and the plot will deal with a various array of angels and how they're dealing with the knowledge of the upcoming war that is destined to happen. Sub-plot will include demons and the pagans, with the latter focusing on the angels having to fight off the pagans' attempts at cutting off the events that will lead up to the Apocalypse. There will be family feuds, sub-plots centred around Michael, Raphael and Gabriel that will show us how they all came to be as they are in the show, and struggles and fights.
Original Characters:
Metatron
Protagonist. The highest ranked archangel. She has a vast intelligence of humanity and its customs, and deals with making sure all the lower ranked angels are doing their jobs right. She's not arrogant, and is not against accepting when she has made an honest mistake, but she is extremely stubborn in her opinions and will not change them under most circumstances. Being one of the eldest angels, she's one of the most mature among them, and doesn't particularly like disorder or humour. Everything she does has a purpose, and it takes much persuading to get her to relax her strict beliefs. Her primary vessel is female, though there are times when she has to use other vessels.
Played by: Torri Higginson
Remiel
Secondary protagonist. A high ranked angel, further up than Zachariah, but not as far up as the archangels. With an easy-going nature and good will, she has a kind heart and enjoys the company of her fellow angels. Having no interest in humanity, she prefers to learn about the various plants and animals that adorn Earth's surface. She is closest to Metatron, and although they don't always agree on everything, they are loyal to each other and trust each other. Afraid of conflict, she will do anything to stop a situation resorting to violence. With her love of animals, she genuinely keeps her vessel in the form of one (usually a cat), unless she is required to be able to speak, in which she resorts back to the vessel's original shape.
Played by: Freema Agyeman
Dumah
A low ranked angel (about the same as Castiel at the start of Supernatural). He has a sharp wit, is quick to judge, holds grudges, and doesn't get along with many of the angels ranked below him. He has a superiority complex, and idolises the archangels. Though he can be mean-spirited, he does care for his fellow angels and, despite not liking many of them, he will do anything to help out if either of them are in trouble. He feels nothing towards humans or the upcoming Apocalypse. He prefers being in a vessel than being in his true form, and uses any excuse to stay in his vessel even if it is not needed.
Played by: Morgan Freeman
Pronoia
A medium ranked angel that likes to focus on humanity above all else. She's easily impressed and quick to find faults in others, especially humans. She likes to interact with humanity, and will usually keep her attention on them regardless of whether the other angels require her help. She is very close to Raphael, and was once close to Gabriel (before he left Heaven). Her main interest is history - Heaven's, humanity's, and the history of the various other supernatural beings. She sees her vessel as a sort of home, and takes great pride in making sure it stays healthy, clean and presentable.
Played by: Dakota Fanning
Azrael
Antagonist. An archangel who, at the time of Lucifer's casting down, was conflicted between siding with Heaven and siding with Lucifer. He's still an angel with links to Heaven, but his main goal is to make sure the Apocalypse unfolds without any interruption. He dislikes humanity and isn't keen on the company of those who went against Lucifer. He's pretty high-strung, is arrogant and sarcastic, and would rather resort to physical conflict. He isn't good at strategy and goes mainly with his instincts, and is extremely talented in the art of manipulation. He despises all other supernatural beings. He sees humans, including his own vessel, as mere objects that can be killed and tortured whenever he desires.
