That was lovely. I loved that Merlin knew and was so afraid of his love and Arthur forcing him to admit it and then showing how much he cared.

That was beautiful. I loved the way you used Cannon and then gave it another perspective. Especially Merlin watching Arthur at the crowning (hottest Arthur has looked EVER imo, no wonder Merlin looked all proud and smiley. That and the lurve of course!)

The way you had Part 1 from Merlin's perspective and then Part 2 from Arthur's was also great. I loved Arthur's concern for Merlin and the way you wrote Arthur brining the knife to his own throat and Merlin immediately reacting was so powerful and actually very close to the relationship in cannon in that way.

The end was really lovely too. Great job!

Just replying to myself to say, huh? What was i thinking!?!?! Clearly the hottest Arthur has looked is in the cell when he's all sneaky with his ripply shirt and shifty guilty looks and THAT pose! lol! :p

That established, thank you very much for your kind comment, I'm very happy you liked it. As I said, re-watching the first season again made me want to take all the little gaps left in the episodes and stuff them full of slashy progression. XD

I worried a bit about Arthur acting out of character, here, but then again, who knows, post-Questing beast? *eagerly awaits the second season*
