Germany part 1

So Berlin has been really really great.

The first day we went on a walking tour of the city and saw most of the important stuff the Berlin has to offer ( part of the wall, the jewish memorial, Hittler´s bunker, check point charlie, etc.). Then yesterday we discovered the best breakfast buffet right in our hostel! It was so yummy and they played the shins the whole time so we sat and ate for like an hour.

Then yesterday we went and saw more of the wall which is called the east side gallery. It is the longest stretch still standing and a few years ago the city asked artist to decorate it. we also discovered this coffee shop across the street from our hostel (we sure did pick a good one!) that looks like the german version of stumptown (but like 10 times bigger) or the ace hotel. We sat around for like an hour again just staring at all of the Gorgeous German boys, they are seriously every where!

Today we went to Hamburger Bahnhof and saw exhibitions by Jopeph Beuys, Andy Warhol, and one with a bunch of other artists ( Duschamp, Cindy Sherman, etc.) and we went to the Jeff Koons exhibition at the Neue National Gallery. It feels so great to be coming home with seeing so much good art!

Tonight is our last night here. We are going to walk the top of the Richtstad which is some important building. But the top is this huge glass dome and its free and there is suppose to be an amazing view of the city! And probably go get a beer at the cute cofee shop and gawk some more at the clientele.

Tomorrow we are leaving to Munich where our plan for the next 2 days is to do absolutely nothing! We treated ourselves to a hotel for those 2 nights so it should be really nice! While we are there we also want to go to a traditional beer hall and also see a concentration camp which is going to be SO INTENSE but we think worth seeing.

Anyways, I hope everyone´s everything is great. Tomorrow is Christmas eve, so Merry Christmas and all that jazz!

xoxoxo
