ramble on
Long day at work, validates coming home and blaring yeah yeah yeahs. remembering running into their guitarist last saturday at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. hearting New York, but anti-hearting the situation which keeps one there is a tough go.
Leaving for the Dominican Republic on Wednesday to once again present our social medicine course at a conference should be sweet and a nice change of pace.
Since January 1st, I've taken a new and interesting approach to lab and life. On one hand it could be described as "assertive." On the other hand, it could be described as 'f- you, i know my sh--.' Either way. It has helped me get data, and give successful (although fighting!) presentations. At the end of the day, if the senior member of another lab comes up to you to state that if he didn't know better, he would have thought you were a 3rd year post-doc, and that your presentation should be the model of how grad students give a lab meeting - i guess its a good thing. Even if it now seems that the PI of said other lab no longer seems to be talking to you.
but ah - i'm getting ill. luckily, TSkiz teaches well to stock one's fridge with Kombucha.
At the end of the day, at least PJ fights as i fight, and we fight together. And that the monster below loves to snuggle.
