Even the end of the credits wasn't very clear. I kind of took it as 'here they are, at least they're still together in the afterlife.'

Did you notice the broken picture frame? And the fact that Rowe had his hand behind his back while he was being stabbed? I suspect the two were linked.

But they also imply that the framed photo of them and Noelle protected him from the bullet (bullet shaped crack in the glass, and I think it didn't show that the photo had been penetrated)

Plus...Rowe had the picture frame with him while he was juggling the groceries (He almost dropped it and it was small frame, but it's there)
And You hear glass cracking when he gets stabbed ^.^

It almost killed me...x.x (My friend and I were going to avenge them and hunt the people down XD)
