Haven't updated in a while, but have decided to waste time doing this. Enjoy!
Top 10 TV Shows:
Yes, my current obsession (apart from myself) is television shows. My mother is currently worried over the amount of time I spend watching TV...But really, it's not THAT much...can I help it if television is just too damn addictive? Now, some may call this entertainment that doesn't require much brain power, but I have to step in here! The majority of popular TV shows might be mindless entertainment (reality shows, anyone?) but there a couple of exceptions! Here they are (and if possible, you must, MUST watch these):
1) Firefly - Ah, this short-lived series from the genius that is Joss Whedon is the cleverest, wittiest, and best damn show all around that I can think of. The characters are great, and let's face it: it is a space western. It just rocks. Google it, then buy the box set.
2) Scrubs - So adorably quirky and insane. JD's fantasies are so out there, but let's face it, everyone has had a weird fantasy sequence some time or another! And Dr. Cox is my hero. Season 5 is finally starting, and it is as good as ever! Definitely a must-see!
3) Veronica Mars - Ratings. Must. Go. Up. People. Must. Watch. UPN. Must. Not. Cancel. This!!!!!! Google is your friend. Seriously, Joss Whedon and Kevin Smith have raved about it and even guest-starred. It must be pretty damn good!
4) Lost - So damn intriguing and so, so much better than the over-rated Desperate Housewives...Personally, don't care much about the love triangle (or is it now a square?), I just wanna know what is up with that damn island! Oh, and more shirtless men please.
5) Gilmore Girls - This show has some of the best writing around. Just so charming, with just enough quirk to balance out the drama. Rory and Lorelai are just the coolest. Emily reminds me of a more evil version of my mom...And I want a Luke!
6) Alias - Ah, the kick-ass spy show. The first two years were the best, seasons 3 and 4 were meh, and just as it is stepping up its ante, it gets cancelled...at least it has given me 5 seasons of sexy spyness and jaw-dropping shockers. Not to mention SpyDaddy.
7) Smallville - In the past, Smallville could be considered a guilty pleasure...but now it is just too damn good not to watch! Season 5 is a must-see...great episodes, great special guest appearances (James Marsters!!), and even the dialogue is not so cheesy!
8) Buffy the Vampire Slayer - This show would be higher up (either #1 or #2) on my list if it were still on air. But alas, I must satisfy my BtVS needs with reruns...sigh...That box-set is just a bit too expensive for me...but I will buy it once it is on sale!
9) Friends - Yes, Friends. Who didn't love Chandler's self-deprecating sarcasm? Could he BE any more funny? This is a classic, with so many great quotes, and let's face it: Ross and Rachel's will-they-or-won't-they saga was the "Who shot J.R?" for the nineties...
10) CSI: Vegas - I know, I know, this is the series which spawned so many copycat forensic shows that one wonders what does it say about society when dead bodies and killers draw in the big audiences. But this is the original and the best. Grissom rocks.
