I got 2 of the small Martin Foggers, the Magnum 650.
Nice!
Heavy but compact, the seem rugged. It fogs like mad! Producing a tone of thick white smoke, especial compared to my old (and failing) American DJ foggers.
But the fogger remote is hard wired into the box! WTF?
Ok, well I can retro in a jack with a little work. Doing it that way I can see if I can configure it to work with another manufactures after market remote.
I probably won't have time to do this before the party. So someone will have to be on fogger duty. Maybe put one up by the bar so that the bartender can hit a button when in the mood?
Put the other one by the BBQ?
Actually now that I think of it having them supervised by a person is not to bad of an idea. It keeps the fog form getting out of hand, which can happen when left to automatics.
Remote issues aside I think I will pick up a couple more of these fogger next year.
4 to 6 of them could easily ring the whole property. 4 in the back yard, 2 in the front.
The Magnum 850 has a remote control jack and 25% more output, but it is also 3 times the price!. The remote is a DMX set up that lets you chain the units together. But then I need to buy a DMX controller system. :/
Maybe if I can pick them up wholesale or used, otherwise I will stick with the 650's.
