The great garage excavation continues.
Sadly I have been kind of stalled the last few days.
Friday I worked hard to clear the driveway off to the side for game that night. I manged to actual get the main table cleared off.
But then I kind of ran out of steam. The weather is a big part of it. I just don't have much energy in the heat. Plus I have been letting myself get distracted with the new sewing machine.
I do make a point to do /something/ on the sewing machine every day. Just to practice my skills.
It has a overcast / cutting foot so it can trim and stitch. Not a overlock, because it is only one thread, but good for finishing the edges of cut cloth.
I have been practicing dice bags as well. Each on gets a little better both in skill and style. I still need to perfect the design. But with practice I will get the hang of it.
Saturday my in-laws went to a closed restaurant auction and bought a tone of stuff. We got a 3 restaurant booths to put into the game room. Of course the ceiling and walls are shot, so the will need to be redone or replaced. We talked about it and decided to redo the game room as a covered patio. Adding a rail to keep people from falling into the pond and a lattice to act as a wind break. My neighbor (who is a contractor) should be available in a few weeks to take a look. It should be a pretty straight forward project. I would like to have it at finished before the next game, but it will probably take a bit longer to get it done.
They also got a soda fountain. I will be working to get the set up in a potable rig. It should be awesome for parties. I don't know if I will have it working in time for the leo party though.
We also got this giant industrial ice maker. The problem is we found out later that the freon lines were routed to the roof for cooling. It would be over $600 to un-install it and get it working free standing. Plus it was too big to move for parties. Oh well. The giant ice chest I got actual works very well. Maybe someday we will get a big ice maker, but bag ice will work just fine for now.
*shakes head* It is funny how this always happens. Every time I make progress on cleaning up the garage a new wave of "Stuff" shows up. Thought I did it to myself this time. Heh.
