We were thinking about getting a object printer. Of all that we looked at the one that really impressed me was the uPrint.
It prints in ABS plastic. (the same stuff they make black drain piped out of)

The samples we got are very durable. The true 3d print ability was impressive.

The only problem was the cost per print. It worked out to be around $8 per cubic inch. A that price I would not print very much. And why get a super expensive machine not to use it?
I will be keeping a eye on it though. This machine just came out so hopefully the price will drop in the next year or so.

We decided to go with a new, high end embroidery machine instead.
It is very cool! And it works! All the things I struggled with on the White are not even a issue on this unit. And it does so much more!
Plus it is a kick ass sewing machine as well. We will be using this machine a lot!

Now I need to find time to clear out the sewing station in the garage and set it up there.
