I got a vet appointment today for puppy. Update vaccinations ad get a ID chip. I will feel much better after puppy has been chipped.
We need to start walking her in the neighborhood. Both to socialize her and get her familiarize with the area. Poe got her one of the over the muzzle leads. I need to learn how to use that (it came with a DVD).
I think one added advantage of the over the muzzle lead is it kind of looks like a muzzle. I think people we encounter will feel a bit safer - she is a big dog after all.
I managed to get some yard work done. Clearing up the branches on the driveway. It only too 3 weeks thanks to bad weather :(
I need to cut up the larger branches into firewood and make a new pile on the back fence.
Gremlin (the gray cat) like to hang out with me as I do yard work. But so does puppy. Yesterday the cat ran the puppy chased. I was able to grab her, but yeah, that could have been ugly.
When the cats are still the puppy gives them their space. I just hope the dog and cats work it out without anyone getting seriously hurt. *frets*
So now I will be focusing on getting the yard cleared up for game on Friday. Bagging leaves, bird of paradise, and the pond. I need to put the finishing touches on the dog yard as well.
