I need to replace the big tree I chopped up in the front yard.
I originally was thinking a dwarf citrus, but Poe pointed out that heavy fruit dropping on cars = bad.
So I was thinking a
Plumeria might be nice.
Yes it will drop blossoms, but that is no worse than the hard seed pods the old caret wood tree dropped. (ouchy)
It should get big enough to shade the parch, but not the house and yard.
Good for the lawn, bad for keeping the living room cool in summer.
I think some other tropical plants around the base may be nice. Something reminiscent of our Hawaii vacation (Ferns and tropical plants. Maybe some red ginger.) :)
Maybe even a little "Lawn Tiki" - heh
