Last night I did a prof of concept on the skull lantern and candle holder.
It worked pretty good! (Damm I should have taken pictures)
The Skull Lantern is a skull with a hanging lamp hook in top and a large hole in the bottom. Just big enough for a light bulb. In this case my small LED black light bulbs.
The skull projects a small circle of black light directly below it, and looks pretty cool too! If the skull is at or below eye level you can't even see the bulb.
Up high (say in the tree) you can't really tell it is a skull, all you see is bulb. :(
But I still think it is a cool fixture!
The skull candle holder is even simpler. I took a cut skull, drilled some holed in the edge and tied some string so it could be hung from a hook. Then just set the electric candle in it. It looks good!
In this case at eye level or above. Again, up high, say in the tree, you can't tell it is a skull, just a flickering candle. :(
Again still a very cool fixture!
So I need to pick up some hardware, chain and wire and crank out a bunch of each.
I seem to be low on skulls. I can recycle some of my old "voodoo lounge skulls" - which have not weathered well anyway. (a shame - those were cool!)
Mmmm, it is a bit late to put a order in for more.
Enhancements:
Leds in the eye sockets
?Leds in the chain to put some light on the skull itself?
A full skull candelabra. A big metal ring with skulls bolted around it.
