http://www.flickr.com/photos/licensed2hench/sets/72157600732414535/ Saturday we went to Blizzcon.
It was awesome! The displays looked great, the whole thing had a fun vibe. But after looking at everything, other than panels or stand in line to play starcraft II, not much to do.
We wandered around trying to hook up with people we knew. But no luck. We should have made arrangements before the con.
I wish blizzard had some mechanic that would let you met up at con. Sort of a real life "who is" and "whisper"
Poe gave away the little shields we made the night before to people who asked about her Tauren doll. Mostly Blizzard employees. I guess the /knew/ that the doll had to be custom made.
At one point we wander pasted Mike Morhaime(SP?). It was cool, the was talking to a attendee about what it had been like to work with south park.
We gave him our last shield. :) - I got a real kick out of that.
That night we went out on a tiki adventure
We went to the reopened Sam's (seafood). It was nice. We bought their new tiki mugs and had a drink. The place was cool. (Despite bad reviews before) The staff was a little overwhelmed by the crowd.
But they had a live Ukulele Band. :)
There was a TONE of people there with small children. I don't know if it was because of the tiki mug signing, the early hour, or what.
We then left for Bahooka a tiki restaurant in Rosemead.
Wow, the place is HUGE and covered with tiki stuff. Fish tanks everyware (over 100)
We got a flaming Pina Colada Bowl. Basically a pitcher for the table. Trish and I got LOOPED on flaming rum! Heh.
All in all a very fun day!
