I managed to get the zip drive working in dos. It makes things MUCH easier!
I did some printing last night using some scrap wood as a blank. Not the best material, but it worked better than i would have expected.
Now I just need to keep tweaking the settings and learn all then software's features.
I stopped mid print because it was getting late. But I should be able to resume easily. I was trying out the "Watermark" print pattern. It traces the edges of things, giving nice smooth curves. But it does it in steps, making a terraced effect. Not a good general purpose pattern, But perfect if all I am doing is raised text on a flat background.
I should probably finish the print just for an exsample. Then redo it using a different pattern.
