The Oomoo 30 molds worked great. I made 2 hoofs (one of each type) and a little half skull (I used the extra silicone to make a quick mold of a little keychain skull I had. I want to build up a selection of weird little molds to use up any extra resin when I make stuff.) I still need to use more pigment. I screwed up, I put the pigment in the cup first. So there was a reside on the bottom of the cup that never mixed right. This made the resin color "swirly". Especially the skull, which used the dregs from the bottom of the cup. A cool effect, but not for the hoofs. :) So next time add pigment second.

The hoof with the dowel attached came out a bit weird. I didn't use quite enough oomo when I made it so the dowl part is only about 1/8" instead of 1/4" ~ 1/2". Oops! But we are not going to be using that style anyway.

Poe had some design changes to the hoof. So I took the funky dowl cast hoof, sanded the top flat and built up the changes with epoxy puddy. The puddy has a bit of trouble sticking to the resin, but is fine once it hardens. So I just went slow amd built it up in stages. I really like working with this puddy.

I hope to finish it tonight so I can make a mold before bed. (let it cure up over night) I am having fun, but at this rate I will need to pick up some more Oomo soon.

We did another embroidery last night as well. Poe had a commision from a friend for a tarot bag. They have a cool, stencel like, pattern of a howling wolf with wings. Poe tweaked it to make it digitize better. It came out great!!
We did black thread on purple satin - a bit subtle, but cool. I ran the machine at about 10% speed as it did the initial trace stich. Then bumped it up to 30% for the rest of the run. It worked fine! (next time I will try 60%) I also tried a free standing spool holder for the larger spool of black embroidery thread I have. (I had problems using that style of spool on the machine before) It worked great! *grin*

Now to make the actual bag. A new wrinkle - lining. Poe has a lined bag we looked at for guidelines, and I think I have got it figured out. I just need to make a few more practice bags correctly before finishing the real one.
