So I was making a hamburger the other night, and I realized that hamburgers come from cows. But ham comes from pigs. Shouldn't they be called beefburgers?
And I was going on the internet to look up why we call them hamburgers when I got sidetracked into the whole NBC Leno/Conan thing. Apparently the Tonight Show won't be the Tomorrow Show? Or something?
I've never seen either of them, so I didn't know about it until Hulu (my homepage) brought it to my attention.
And then while I was watching Hulu I picked up my embroidery and found that I'm out of three colors so I paused the clips and went to figure out how to request more thread from Dimensions. That sent me to the Joanne's website, which made me wonder how many coupons I had left. It turns out I have 2 50% and 2 40%, which expire soon.
Then I wondered if I would get paid from my new job in time to use them. My job made me think of school, so I went to cruise and see which courses are offered next semester. Apparently one of them is about Julia Child! (She was a Smith alum.) That reminded me of hamburgers so I ran back to the stove to check on mine.
It was overcooked... very much like a flat piece of cardboard. But I covered it in mustard and ate it anyway.
I'm not sure what that says about me, but it's probably not anything complimentary.
In Other News:
I now have a cold.
People whose names I don't know come up to me and say "Did you know your nose is running?"
It's running like a preschooler's -- not bright green snot, but clear unceasing liquid out of one side. It's really undignified.
