The end of Skins Season 3 was a disappointment. It was basically three stone wankers fighting over Effy - who moved between looking like she was about to cry, or like she didn't care at all.
Bring back Tony, or at least, make it less "the Effy has pretty eyes and is silent and mysterious" show.
It's a pity because overall, the season wasn't so bad. JJ's episode was beautiful. Cook (Cooke?) somewhat grew on me, to the point where I still detested him, but I ultimately felt for him. Katie and Emily are gorgeous, as is Naomi who may have had one of the more interesting and realistic transformations - she learned to believe in love, to see love and to be loved. Pandora became a little less comic-relief and a little more 'odd but lovely'. Who else? Freddy - cute but dopey, literally?
I think that the whole season didn't seem to have the "real" feeling that the last season's characters were capable of. Even at their most unrealistic, there was still a sense of approachable and relate-able. Don't get me wrong, I've always loved the (at times) fantasy element of the show, where you know that the scene is a hyper HYPER extension of a possible real-life situation. But these kids at times came across as parodies of that, with, in my opinion, the development of JJ and the relationship between Naomi and Emily being the only moments that were even close to that.
We'll see what season 4 brings....
