Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked it.

watching Dante Gabriel Rosetti swaggering around and confusing poor Fred.

I was thinking exactly the same thing and I couldn't resist! :)

So, I saw this on my flist this morning and instead of watching more Robin Hood I watched Desperate Romantics. And I'm glad I did - 'cause then it meant I got to read this.

I wasn't one hundred percent convinved by the first episode. And then I read this and was amazed. Seriously. You've picked up those two characters effortlessly from just that one hour...

And it was entirely believable and incredibly hot. :D

And now to go stick my head in a bowl of steam - which is apparently going to do what two sets of antibiotics haven't managed and cure my ear infection...

I intended to watch it purely for Aidan Turner, but then it was fun in a shallow 'much mischief and lolz with pretty men in silly period clothing' sort of way. I was lured into mucking about with them about twenty minutes after the episode finished.

I'm really glad you thought the characters worked, I'm always really happy when people say that, and I'm glad you liked it.

I hope you feel better soon :D

Talking of watching things for Aidan Turner... have you been on the show's website? There's a vid of him reading one of Rossetti's sonnets...

For starters, you surely win a prize for fastest transition from screen to slash!

And secondly, I watched the actual show for the pretty men in gorgeous outfits, but so far, I don't think it's really living up to its potential. Nonetheless, your story definitely makes up for any lack of sensual decadence on screen, and does so in spades, so well done! I can only hope that the show starts to imitate the fic as soon as possible...

I started writing this about twenty minutes after it finished. I couldn't help it, the amusing period hats made me do it!

I watched it for much the same reason, I think I'm hoping it gets better while amusing myself with fic!decadence. So thank you very much! I'm really glad you liked it.

I can't believe you've written a fic for this already. You're like the Superman of the fic world.

It's awesome *giggles*

It took me twenty minutes, how shameless is that?! Though I would kind of like being the Superman of the fic world.

Why thank you! :D

Sorry I'm late! Wales happened again. Very sudden it was.

But yes, I do believe you should have a cape and wear spangly pants with your initials on them over your trousers.

I realised I hadn't come and left you an appropriate gleeful message, so I have come to fix that!

"Gabriel?" It's a question, he forces it to be so, forces his voice not to stammer on the long syllables of his name.

"Am I not allowed to want you as well." Gabriel makes it sound, for all the world, like a sensible and reasonable question.

"You want everyone," Fred says quietly.

"All the more reason to find my behaviour unremarkable."

That whole exchange is... just yes. Just very much yes.

And it's just... gah. Very, very hot and awesome. You are made of complete and utter win!

Thank you very much! I'm really glad that it worked for you. I was a little worried that there'd only been one episode and I was being very, very shallow. So your comments make me happy!

:D
