Wow. That just.

I was waiting for it, the ending, but even so, I didn't see it coming, you know what I mean? It was so much more perfect and broken than I could envision.

I love the spareness of this. And it feels like Dean but not Dean to me. His internal voice is completely convincing, and makes such a fascinating contrast to all the different versions of Sam, who ring just as true. Also, the elements of true horror are so visceral and affecting.

Gorgeous story, thank you. *is awed*

Thank you so much for your lovely comments, I'm really pleased that the whole thing worked for you.

I really wanted it to feel a little like a haunting, sort of dis-connected with Dean quite obviously different, so I'm glad you thought I got that. I found the collection of different Sam's really interesting to write, I was trying to make them all different in tiny ways.

I'm really glad you enjoyed it, thank you for reading! :)

Most satisfying story I've read in quite a while: mood, character, plot all come together so beautifully, it's more than the sum of its parts. Thanks so much for the early Christmas present.

Thank you very much! I was going for something that didn't feel absolutely real in places, with not a lot of description, and I really wanted it to feel tense while I was creeping towards the ending. I'm really glad you enjoyed it :)
