Oh. Oh Billy.

This was so sweet and sort of sad and... oh Billy. I generally don't read Billy/Penny fic, just because there's so much of it that the odds are kind of stacked against me, but it's you, so I pretty much know it'll be good. And it is. I like your Penny; she's sort of guilelessly empathetic. It says a lot about their relationship that she'll kiss Billy's cheek, like that.

Also, I liked this line, in a hurty sort of way: She doesn't...she doesn't smile as much as she should.

Why thank you, I don't mind a little Billy/Penny occasionally. I think the sweet and tragic appeals to me, in a weird sort of way. I love that description of her though, and I agree with it.

Poor Penny she barely smiles at all, I think she hurts inside almost as much as Billy, maybe more.

Oh definitely. The song she sings to him in the laundromat definitely hints at darkness in her past, and I think she developed her hopeful side to cope with it the same way Billy has his evil side. They're like two sides of the same coin.

Yes, there's something very lost and lonely about Penny that she papered over with all that hope and enthusiasm and she's absolutely the flip side of Billy that way.

Oh my goodness, that was beautiful. Poor Billy- yr writing makes my heart ache a little. I adore the idea that someone took the time to notice the fact that he was all banged up- that someone cared about it.
