I've reread the last chapter like half a dozen times now. It's just so beautiful! You did a fantastic job conveying Stiles' confusion and mixed feelings and even embarrassment. His line about it being his first time - and Derek's shattered reaction - so perfect. Derek's stoicism and his honesty at the end, his line about not telling the others what happened, that it was just for he and Stiles. <3 Poor Sheriff! I felt his relief. Stiles' guilt over not even *thinking* about the fact maybe there was someone looking for him and worrying about him was so well done. You said so much in just a few words. I had been curious about how they'd get their memories back and how the reunion would go and you just did such a great job of making it realistic while using an economy of words.

Anyway, have attempted to gather my thoughts since yesterday and all I can say is *fantastic!* I love amnesia fics so much but your take on it was brilliant. It's usually only one of the pairing that has amnesia but to have them both have it here was perfect. To take away all Derek's baggage, to have them start off with nothing but an obviously mutual attraction and then have them draw their own conclusions from that, to allow them to fall in love away from Beacon Hills and the pack and all that's involved, it was just such a great use of the trope.

And of course, the plot and the mission and all the little details really gave life to the whole fic. The sex scenes were so freaking hot, the fight scenes were interesting and exciting, and there were some genuinely creepy moments too. The ending is my fave part, but I've reread the whole thing a couple times now and it's absolutely awesome and an instant favourite! Then again, I just love everything you write in this fandom. Your voices are so great. Thank you! Can't wait for whatever's next.

Thank you! That's so lovely of you to say. I really wanted them both to work, and to feel like themselves, even though they weren't quite themselves, without their memories, so I'm really happy you thought that they did. I think the whole thing would have messed them up more than they'd be able to deal with for a while. The way they immediately relied on each other and ended up with an intimacy they'd never had (though they didn't realise that.)

I hadn't really had a go at an amnesia story before and I wanted to go all out and have them both lose their memories, and turn it into a whole adventure thing. So I'm really happy you thought it worked.
