Who in Church

A friend of mine, who I hooked on Doctor Who, was very excited to tell me today that her minister discussed Doctor Who in his sermon on Sunday.  They use screens, and he had a picture of the TARDIS and of Smith and Gillan.  I asked if the reference made sense, and she said it did.  He said that the Devil may try to convince you that God is limited, but God is like the TARDIS - able to do much more than it seems on the outside.  (Or something like that.)  He started by asking if anyone was familiar with DW, and only about 3 people raised their hands.  My friend (a former Army Captain) said she never thought she's do it in church, but she actually gave him a "woof, woof, woof".  She said he also made a Star Trek reference too.

I like a geeky minister!

BTW, does anyone else in the U.S. dislike the Amy voiceover that they are doing in the opening credits?  I don't think it's happening in other countries, because I have seen some posted online that don't have it.  I realize they are trying to gain new fans, but I think people will catch up with the premise pretty quickly.
