First off --- I'm doing swimmingly well since the surgery. Finally, no more pain when I eat and I've gotten some very good sleep at night because I'm not constantly waking up to pain. Talk about a nice bonus, it's given me a lot more energy during the day. Though that could also be attributed to my medication.
Speaking of medication, the VA seemed the be under the impression that I would be in some pain, because they made sure I had pain meds. I don't get it -- by day 3 I was only taking one pain med at night so I wouldn't wake myself up rolling over and as of a couple of nights ago I haven't even needed that. Oh well.
Now, onto the main subject. I took the Amazon.com gift certificates I'd saved up from surveys and stuff and got me a PC drawing tablet. It's no Wacom but it works. It has a nice work space, hot spots around the edge that you can program to do different things (I haven't yet) and I'm still working on the sensitivity level to suit me but it has a fair amount of level. Just for giggles I've been doing line art to test it out (see my spring flower avatar). It's not exactly museum art, but I'm mainly for doing girlie things anyway. Doodles and flowers and stuff I can use to make little greeting cards and stuff.
Okay, that's all for now.
