Sewing machines can be fun
A friend brought me a sewing machine that was/had been discarded. It's an older machine, and it took me some playing around with, but I got it to work. I'm very happy with it, now I can alter some of my wardrobe and create new pieces. I've already altered one of my dresses, and though it's not the best job (note to self: get a new pair of fabric shears and a pair of pinking shears and do not use them for yarn, paper, etc) it came out presentable enough to wear in public. I have ideas for another skirt I own and (if I can find a pair of jeans at the thrift store) a really neat idea for altering them as well.
