Hee hee hee
I'm working in a book store while I do my MLS, and a funny thing happened today. A young man, about my age, came into the store and asked for help. He wanted a Mother's Day gift.
Me: Okay, what does your mom like to read?
Him: Oh, I don't want to get her a book.
Me: *looking around the book store we are in, surrounded by books.*
Him: What do you have that's... not books?
Me: *confused pause* Um. You know this is a book store, right?
Him: Yeah, but what else do you have?
Me: Um... bookmarks.
Him: *sighs in a frustrated manner, but continues to stare expectantly at me, as if waiting for me to open a panel in the wall to reveal our huge selection of fantastic Mother's Day gifts other than books.*
Me: Perhaps you should try somewhere else.
This made me laugh, so I thought I'd pass it on!
