The Scrapbook of Frankie Pratt by Caroline Preston

Mar 11, 2012 17:06

This is a novel told in the style of a scrapbook. There is a little narration on each page though.

The story was cute - Frankie goes to Vassar on a scholarship, leaves home to work in the magazine industry and eventually makes her way to Paris. Eventually she goes back home again. This all takes place in the 1920s.

If you like the idea of a novel in pictures, this would be a good book for you. It's done well. I keep forgetting I really like words. The pictures seem to get in the way most of the time for me.
