(no subject)
The girls were supposed to have a field trip today to a farm. They were both so excited about bumper cars, milking a cow, petting kittens and other assorted animals, and pony rides.
Well, sadly it rained. In fact rained so hard that we started our .25 mile walk to school and turned around midway, went home, changed and drove to school. So yeah, cancelled.
I just want to say that aside from some cursing (that STUPID rain!) the girls have taken this disappointment really really well.
Right now, Amy is writing a book about a bad day and Emily is cleaning her desk. Given that I expected to be holding two sobbing girls about now, I think we're doing ok.
I think we may try to go out to this farm sometime soon. I so much need a picture of my children in bumper cars.
