Container gardening...starting sloooww....
Today, we went out to eat a light lunch-- have I mentioned how much I love and adore the places near my house? There is a Greek restaurant about 5 minutes from the house, Colussus. It is cheap- I get a small Greek Salad and a tiny french bread pizza for about $7. It is enough to keep me full all day-- and it is so good. After lunch, we went to look at plants. I can not do anything but container gardening due to a leg injury a few years ago, so we got some large planters and herbs- lemon basil, sweet basil, lavender, and rosemary. Vince did the hard part- lifting the potting soil bags, but we got them planted. I am excited about starting something I have always wanted to try. Now they need to get really big so that we can cook with herbs. I want to plant somore more- chocolate mint, pineapple sage, and citronella mosquito plantings I saw today-- they smell great. Any other plants that might be good to plant in a container- ones that grow quickly?
I want to try to find some bamboo- I have always wanted to try to grow some and there are two places around here that I could plant it. Where does one go to buy it? Lowe's and Home Depot do not seem to sell it.
