Well, bugger.
I had been on the road for about an hour and a half when I thought to myself, "wait... did I remember to put my boots into the car?" Sure enough, when I got to L.A., I checked the backseat and the trunk, and no boots anywhere. Bugger.
The only shoes I have with me are my work shoes (lace-up black flats) and my medieval shoes from Lady Oren. My LoJ outfit is hemmed for my boots, which have 1 1/2" heels. The skirt that I was thinking of wearing as part of the last-minute edwardian ensemble also only just reached the top of those boots, so any shoes I wear with it will be in plain view. Bugger. I may just wear mundane clothes after all.
In other news, I got through about 15 eyelets. (only 25 more to go) Didn't make any progress on the edwardian blouse today either, but I'll probably stop by JoAnn's on my way back from class tomorrow and pick up some buttons for the back closure. I'm not sure how much time I'll have after class to do sewing stuff, but at the very least, I should be able to finish the medieval dress.
