Unproductive Sunday
I'm bad. I got almost no sewing done on Sunday. I got up, puttered around online a bit, took my car to Jiffy Lube and forked over far too much money because, in addition to the oil change, i needed my coolant changed too... I also need the transmission fluid done, but couldn't afford both. So, I guess this means not spending money on trim for the LoJ goblin dress. Oh well. On the up side, I got a little bit of basting done on the regency stays. The more i think about them, the more I'm wondering if maybe I shouldn't just get them assembled sans cording, and then if I like the pattern, whip up another pair and put the cording in that one. It seems risky to put that much time and effort into a pair of stays that might not fit quite the way I'd like. We'll see.
After that, I flipped through some costuming books and took a nap. Very productive.
After the nap, I re-arranged the plants on my balcony a bit. The roses have been doing rather poorly, and the blackberries are getting a bit toasted, I think, so I moved the roses into the sunny spot, and the blackberries into the less sunny spot. On the whole, I'm quite pleased, since it opens up the area by the door a bit (the blackberries being in a much narrower container than the enormous rose plant). After that, I did some reading, made lemon curd, ate dinner, did laundry, and went to bed. So, nothing to report on the LoJ gown, although I'll probably work on it a bit more tonight.
