I finished painting all of the black bits of my Hnefatafl board this weekend, and it looks very nice indeed. Now I'm starting to color in the knotwork, but am having trouble mixing a green that I like, as the selection of pre-mixed colors of non-puffy fabric paint are rather atrocious.
I've made a bit more progress on Ryan's vest, and think I'm right on track to have it finished sometime next week. I bought buttons-to-cover at JoAnn's this weekend, and will probably make a start on those tonight while I'm doing laundry chez les parents.
I also bought some glass beads, which I then strung into festoons for the front of my viking apron dress, which is now adorning my dress form in the living room. I also bought some smaller wooden beads for the keyhole neckline of my green kirtle, and have successfully wrapped one in thread.
This Saturday, I will be missing the Costume College post mortem meeting to go fabric shopping with my aunt for her 1860s ballgown. This means that I really should have her corset done by then, if for no other reason than because I'd be ashamed if I'd made absolutely zero progress on it since our last fitting two months ago.
This Sunday, I may or may not be attending an SCA-ish event that an old friend of mine is hosting (in my newly-festooned apron dress, no less!). He's proving rather difficult to track down in order to purchase tickets though.
Slowly but surely, projects are marching toward completion.
