As of 12:15 today, I have...
-fed/watered the garden
-made crepes for breakfast, which I ate with cottage cheese and delicious homemade preserves
-cut out the interlining and marked boning channels on Aunt Lorraine's corset
-made bread, which has been shaped into loaves and is rising
Not bad, considering.
Yesterday I was feeling dizzy and generally unwell all day, but I still managed to...
-find Steve's long-lost
viking tunic-do mighty battle with the honeysuckle that's trying to take over my patio
-sew a few seams on Caprice's chemise and a silly steampunk corset-y thing that I'm working on
I'm particularly pleased with finding the tunic, not only because I spent a ridiculous amount of time making the lucet cord for the knotwork around the neck, but because the Escondido Renaissance Festival is coming up next weekend. (Yes, I know that vikings weren't around during the Renaissance, but you and I both know that Renaissance Faires have about as much to do with real history as Xena: Warrior Princess has to do with classical mythology.)
On a related note, Steve and I are looking for a place to crash in San Diego for one of the weekends of the faire (next weekend or the one after).
