Last night, between Michael's and JoAnn's, I managed to buy the required fabric paint, cheap acrylic paints for the mask, some cheap new brushes (I accidentally left one of mine in water overnight, and it's getting king of gunked up with the fabric paint anyway), some silver leaf-shaped pendants for the ends of the beaded dangles on the belt, a clasp for the belt, some more silver wire (they still didn't have the kind that I wanted in stock, but I'll make do) and several spools of ribbon to use for ties on the mask and to braid into my hair.
I then went over to Jo's where I put sleeves on Andi's tunic, made her hood/mantle, and hemmed the sleeves for my LoJ dress while Jo hammered the eyelets for my dress.
I got home at around 11 and collapsed into a tired heap. After Costume College, I think that a short break from sewing is in order.
What's left to do:
-attach the sleeves
-make the belt
-add more layers to the mask
-paint the mask
-paint the skirt
Wow... it's actually starting to look like a manageable list (apart from the fact that I know the skirt is going to take a good 22+ hours to paint). Tonight is laundry night, which means that whatever I work on needs to be portable. I'll probably bring over the jig for the belt and try to assemble that after dinner. Then it's mask-making time over the weekend, and fabric painting all next week. Oh yeah, and I'll attach the sleeves somewhere in there. Maybe tomorrow night, while I'm waiting for rush hour to end before heading off to Thousand Oaks.
