I've felt good and upbeat after coming out onto the platform of Euston today from my night train. One can feel the vibe of many people's lives woven together and put together in a massive one-off encounter in such places. Still, subconciously I'm looking forward for this weekend to finish when I finally rest myself back home.
Planning to hit SOHO tonight since it's Eurovision song contest final and what is the better place to be rather than among the cheerful gay crowd in the village :) So, far my favourite is Armenian's Nor Par - a great combination of folk beats, costumes and dancy grooves.
Booked tickets to Birmingham for a long weekend in the middle of June last night since our passports are now with the Home Office until the end of June or so and we can't leave the UK. (That's to be covered in a separate post on visas and passports later.) Planning to see a bit of Wales and its coast, Bristol and Bath are also in plans.
It's been a long time since we've last done a long road trip. The last one, I think was in May last year when we drove over to the Isle of Skye. Talking about the Hebrides, apparently Isle of Lewis has some stunning scenery and picture-perfect beaches even though one can't swim there :) So, another trip either to the Hebrides or Shetlands in the North is also looming.
