Zhang Yimou's "The Curse of the Golden Flower"
We have just finished watching the "Curse of the Golden Flower" by Jang Yimou. I first watched it 2 years ago and now have ordered it for S and our friend Anthony to watch.
If some of you haven't yet seen the movie, I would higly recommend it. As Anthony characterized it, it is "an attack on all your senses". The movie is a masterpiece combination of epic drama, colours and music by the mastermind of the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony, Jang Yimou.
It's best to watch it on a big screen to appreciate all of the intricacies of the colours, costumes and grand scale.
