Crazy weather!
The ice storm that hit us on Monday night caused a lot of chaos. Campus was closed for two days and now I have to make up a final on Saturday and I was planning on leaving St. Joe for a few days. I'm sick of being up here. A couple of tree branches fell on my car and now I have a dent on the passenger side door and on the roof. We were out of electricity for a day and there are about 50,000 homes in St. Joe that are still out of electricity...this was a bad one and you know what...another storm is supposed to hit us tomorrow. I'm stressed out and need a break from things. I'm so happy that Christmas is coming soon..I love this time of the year minus the bad weather and that's when I'll get some type of break. Well anyway, the storm knocked down the cable and phone lines at the house so I'm here on campus and I need to get going a class will be in here soon. I hate that I have to use campus computers it really bothers me...oh and there are so many trees down in streets and everywhere and we hired someone to cut all the limbs in our yard and the city told everyone to just put the trees on the side of the road but there are some dummies out there who threw theirs in the middle of the street and now parking space is now currently being taken by the trees so I have to park else where...sorry this isn't a very positive post and I don't know when I'll be on again due to the chaos of things right now...it's been almost a week without internet and tv and I'm having withdrawls lol. The local high schools are being used as shelters for those who no longer have heat or food, can you imagine living in a high school and taking showers in a locker room...one thing that makes me happy is being able to live in my house. I hope everyone is safe and warm and I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday if I'm not able to get on here again until next year. Aww I feel so weird saying that lol.
