Do you know what bugs me? The fact that 'uncohesive' is not a real word. 'Cohesive' is an accepted and widely used word, but if you want to describe something as the opposite of cohesive, your best option is 'incoherent'. Incoherent is not a satisfying word for describing a lack of unity and commonality which is how I would like to use 'uncohesive'. Instead it has connotations of something garbled which you can't understand e.g. "incoherent babble".
I am fairly sure that a lot of people do use the word 'uncohesive', or even 'incohesive' in that context, oblivious to the fact that it isn't an accepted word. Well damn it I think it should be. Perhaps I should write a petition to get it into the dictionaries so we can all use the word 'uncohesive' with confidence and pride.
