(no subject)
So work today was ok, and I made it through (even though I was 10 minutes behind this morning). The best part about today was my brother picked me up and we went to Skully's to this promotional thing put on by Magnolia Thunderpussy. We arrived right before the band got there.
When the band arrived they just started to mingle. Started hanging out with Dennis. He said that I had a very pretty name and we talked for about 15 minutes about music and touring. Then Nate came over. OMFG he is so cute. I would so have ripped his clothes off! He talked about touring and his wonderful wife and kids. WHAT A LUCKY LADY!! Well sort of. I don't know what it would be like having a husband and not seing him for more than 1 month at a time. Anyway they are going to take a month off and then get back in the recording studio and start work on recording another album. So before we started talking, I asked him if he wanted a drink (there was someone there handing out free drink coupons) so I used my free coupon to get him a Guiness. He also was talking about food, and there was no way that our poor waitress was going to make it back over to our table (the place was freakin packed) so I bought him dinner too. Fish and curlie fries (AKA fish n chips). So after he had his beer and dinner he said "the dinner and drink was free right?" and I said "Well drink was free but the dinner was 7 dollars" So he pulled out 10 dollars and said with a smile "heres some money for my dinner" I didn't want to take it,and I didn't have any change. He smirked and chuckled "Don't worry about it, keep the change. And if the guiness' still free, keep em comin" So I grabbed my brothers Guiness and gave it to him, and we sat and talked for another 20 minutes or so. He signed a poster for me (it says Cheers!Thanx for the pint!" and his name woot woot.
Met some really cool people, Bill, a really cool guy that hung out with us, and our waitress Carrie, who was running the bar BY HERSELF. She smuggled me the poster that I had signed, so she got a 5 dollar tip. woot.
