Okay, I'm heading back from the hospital now. I think I've pretty much cleaned out their supply of sleeping pills, so I'm starting to get antsy! Still hurts to talk, but at least I can breathe okay and walk and junk. Won't be back in action for a while though

[Tatsumi and Japan had cleaned up the apartment some time ago. Boredom had set in and Tatsumi lay pondering at the coffee table with a half-cup of tea that had gone cold.]

[ America finally manages (with a SUPERB AMOUNT OF EFFORT) to make his way back to the apartment. He isn't sure if Tatsumi is still even there. Sad part is, he's not sure which scenario he really prefers.

I had a lot more emotional bluh bluh to put in this tag, but I'm extremely distracted by That 70s Show, so let's just say he's hobbling through the door now. No loud exclamations, no bustling around, nothing. He's probably still a bit sleepy from all the pills.

AND THEN HE SPOTS TATSUMI. And he can't help but smile ;w; ...his tooth is still missing but whatever. ]

[Tatsumi wasn't really paying attention to the sound of the door opening. He figured japan was up to something but just before his eyes drift over, America's voice is heard. The werepire perks up immediately and smiles widely as he scrambles to get up while still in chains.]

Ya!! You're back!!!

[Oh, how well he plays his act. Though, not being bored anymore does help Tatsumi be most enthusiastic and happy to See America. He hurries over.]

Alfred-kun!!

[ It's awfully hard to do a loving embrace when one partner is still chained up. And ohgod he's still so sore, so America is going to hold Tatsumi at arm's length for a moment before gently hugging him. ]

Missed ya too, Tatsumi! But go easy on me, man. Still got bruises in some unpleasant places.

[ When he finally lets go, America just... stands there, chuckling nervously and staring at Tatsumi. He had so much to say, and now he's blanking.

So awkward. ]

[Tatsumi accepts the hug because, really, what else was he going to do? Anything that comes to mind is too complicated. His hair-ears wiggle, though.]

Ya, I know! I did a lot of bad stuff... but, hey! You're home and that's what's cool!!

[He leans in for a kiss. At least there are no fangs this time. It's something he can do while chained.]

[ SORRY TATSUMI, but America actually turns away this time. He's getting flashes of the werepire coming at him with fangs bared. Not only a mood killer, but the thought also leaves him with an uncomfortable coldness in the pit of his stomach. ]

Uh, wait, before we do that, can we talk? Not that I didn't miss you! You were pretty much on my mind all the time at the hospital! ...Well. When I was conscious.

[ And then something else very important registers. ]

DID YOU CLEAN MY APARTMENT?! AGAIN?!

[The acts turns the corners of his lips ever so slightly. But that almost-smirk disappears quickly as soon as America's voice rises. Tatsumi's head sinks.]

Ya B-but Japan and I were so bored!! I didn't mess with the stuff in the cupboards... much. We just labeled them all in English for you and I washed your clothes! I didn't touch the weapons or anything in your closets!!!

[He was a good boy, honest!]

[ACTION!!!]

[ AMERICA IS STILL DISMAYED. ...Slightly. He lets out an overdramatic sigh and lets his forehead rest against Tatsumi's shoulder. ]

This is the terrible world without TV. People cleaning things. This is why I'm always gonna be better than Russia: because I always have something good on TV. Well... thanks for the labeling.

[ Annnddd pulling away. ]

Have you been in chains this whole time?

[Tatsumi would pat you on the head if both hands weren't chained together. Instead, for a brief moment, he tilts his head to rest upon the blond hair at his shoulder, pulling away just before America does.]

Ya! I spent the fist day o so with my hands behind my back but I think Japan got tired of feeding me by hand and redid the chains. I was shuffle around now and pick things up and stuff. It's enough to live with!!

[ America opens his mouth. Closes it. Thinks he should move on to actually talking about the important stuff. Nope. Can't get the question out of his head. He has to know. ]

[ HE'S NOT GOING TO BE TOO HAPPY IF JAPAN HAD TO HELP OUT WITH THAT. ]

[Tatsumi Blinks. Then, blinks again.

The questions this country finds important will never cease to amaze us all.]

Duh. I mean, how'd you do it chained up? Japan didn't have to help ya, did he?

What? Nah! He unchained me when I had to do my business and waited outside the door. Then, it was back to being in chains.

He's not so bad a guy... but I don't think he likes me. Not that I don't blame him but he was really paranoid. Took him sometime to get any rest... but me throwing up wasn't too helpful either.

Okay good. [ HE JUST HAD TO BE SURE. Why he had to be sure, I don't know. ]

He's kinda a tough nut to crack, and he doesn't know ya as well as I do. Maybe hanging around him more-- wait, you threw up? I thought you were okay now!

I don't know. Ya think anyone will want to hang around me anymore? I did attack a bunch of people... and a lot of kids.

Huh? Oh, yea!! That was, like, days ago. I'm cool now! I think I just drank too much blood 'cause I felt so full it was sick! I'm not sure but I think I did that a few times. I don't think I have ever drank that much in my life!!

You're just gonna have to make it up to them! Show everyone that you're actually a good guy, that you were overwhelmed with hunger. We'll figure something out! [ patting him on the shoulder ]
