this is so funny

to catch up non-wonky, non-san francisco residents on our current situation: elected idiots on our board of supervisors are attempting to circumvent both the california state constitution and the US constitution by banning guns within the city limits (unless you are a special person, of course).

this is the SAF's response.

also, for my fellow californians, a large contributor to the Reign of Terror we face every day FINALLY RESIGNED!

SACRAMENTO (AP) - Secretary of State Kevin Shelley (D - SAN FRANCISCO - COMPLETELY CORRUPT) resigned Friday amid investigations into his handling of federal election funds, questionable campaign contributions and bad behavior.

Shelley, 49, is leaving his $131,250-a-year post before having to testify later this month at a legislative audit committee hearing about his handling of millions of dollars in federal elections funds.

on the national front, one of my biggest issues came out of senate committee:

The bill aimed at curbing class-action lawsuit abuse, which Democrats filibustered last year, was passed by the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday with bipartisan support.

After the panel's 13-5 vote, the Class Action Fairness Act now is headed for the Senate floor, where bill backers say they have the 60 votes needed to overcome any new filibuster by Democrats.

The bill would divert many of the largest class-action lawsuits out of state courts and into the federal court system.

and on the let freedom ring front:

The residents of a small Iraqi village have killed five insurgents who had attacked them for voting in last weekend's national elections.

Several other insurgents were also wounded.

The insurgents raided the village of al-Mudhiryah south of Baghdad after warning its inhabitants not to vote in the election.

The villagers fought back, killing five of the insurgents and wounding eight others.

The insurgents' cars were then set alight.

Al-Mudhiryah's tribal sheikh says his people are sick of being threatened by Islamic extremists.

bush's fault!
